Daniel Gareau received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Vermont in 1999, masters degree from the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science and Technology in 2001 and Ph.D. from the Oregon Health & Science in 2006, developing a confocal microscope for in vivo imaging of GFP and melanoma in mice. Dr. Gareau’s postdoctoral training was completed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His past, present and future work involves the utilization of light to elucidate biological questions of form and function. He has been published in the Journal of Biomedical Optics, the British Journal of Dermatology, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, and the Journal of Microscopy. Dr. Gareau is currently an Instructor in Clinical Investigation at The Rockefeller University.
